President Trump has survived three assassination attempts.
But no one was prepared for this.
And shots rang out, and the Secret Service’s worst nightmare about Trump just came true.
ABC White House correspondent Selina Wong shared a video of her doing a stand-up report outside the White House when gunfire erupted, and the Secret Service ordered Wong and other reporters to sprint to the press room to seek shelter.

There were immediate fears that this was yet another assassination attempt against President Trump.
Fox News reporter Chad Pergram later told viewers that the Secret Service opened fire after a gunshot was fired at the White House, and a bystander and the shooter were hit in the exchange.
“I am told a gunman came up near the White House on the west side, described as Gate 17. This is kind of near 14th street on the west side of the White House, and came up and brandished some sort of a pistol; we do not know what type of pistol it was.
He then fired toward the White House three times. Then the United States Secret Service, they returned fire — we do not know how many shots they got off. They apparently took the gunman down.
Now, sometime in this gunfire exchange, a civilian on the street was struck by the gunfire, and we do not know the condition of that person right now. But the important thing to know is the gunman who came up with the pistol was taken down by the Secret Service, and we do not know his condition right now. But he never got inside the perimeter of the White House,” Pegram stated.
Fox News reported that the assailant later died at the hospital
The New York Post identified the shooter as “21-year-old Nasire Best, a mentally troubled individual who was well-known to the Secret Service for repeatedly loitering around various entry posts.”
President Trump thanked the Secret Service for their quick action and slammed Senate RINOs who refused to pass funding for the security at his new ballroom, as leaving the White House undefended from further attacks in his life and those of future Presidents.
“Thank you to our great Secret Service and Law Enforcement for the swift and professional action taken this evening against a gunman near the White House, who had a violent history and possible obsession with our Country’s most cherished structure. The gunman is dead after an exchange of gunfire with Secret Service Agents near the White House gates. This event is one month removed from the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting, and it goes to show how important it is for all future Presidents to get what will be the safest and most secure space of its kind ever built in Washington, D.C. The National Security of our Country demands it! Trump posted.
