Fox News isn’t normally where Democrats go for good news.
But it was on this day.
And Chuck Schumer gloated over what Fox News just admitted about 2026.
Some leftists, like The Atlantic Magazine’s Mark Lebovich, fret that Democrats could cost themselves the 2026 election because the party refuses to shed its woke baggage.
Party meetings still begin with land acknowledgments saying the U.S. sits on land stolen from Native Americans.
The party still fights to force kids to undergo transgender surgeries.
And polls show 58 percent of Americans think the party is too liberal.
But despite the Democratic Party’s polling and ideological weaknesses, Fox News Channel’s Brian Kilmeade couldn’t deny another truth.
That’s the fact that Democrats are racing up special election wins in seats where President Trump racked up big margins.
Democrats are 25-0 in these races, Kilmeade told viewers.
“No matter everything you said about land grabs, and Indians who really belong with this land, and all the stuff, the Democrats have flipped twenty-five state legislative seats, and the Republicans have flipped zero,” Kilmeade stated.
The Democrats’ two most recent special election wins set off alarm bells.
Democrats won a Texas State Legislature special election by double digits in a district Trump won by 17 points.
And in a Louisiana special election, Democrats won by 24 points in a district Trump carried by 13 points.
That’s a 37-point swing in the Democrats’ favor.
Kilmeade said Republicans had time to change the political narrative, but that they needed to do a better job communicating their accomplishments to the voters.
“As much as they are whining with pronouns, Republicans have to find a way to communicate that they are the better way,” Kilmeade added. “And they’ve got about seven or eight months to do it, because that group, as misguided as they seem and act, seems to be on a roll, which astounds me to say, but the numbers don’t lie.”
Fox News hosts noticed warning signs for months.
After Democrats swept to power in the New Jersey and Virginia elections in November, Laura Ingraham cautioned viewers that these results were a bad omen for Republicans in the midterms.
“The midterms right now look ugly, unless the Republicans really get serious,” Ingraham stated.
The Real Clear Politics polling average shows Democrats leading Republicans 47.6 to 42.4 percent.
That’s a margin big enough to flip the House and put control of the Senate in jeopardy.
But the economy is always the number one issue.
And the tides may be turning on that front.
January’s jobs report blew expectations out of the water with 130,000 jobs created.
And the latest inflation report showed prices cooling faster than expected, with the inflation rate coming in at 2.4 percent.
The report also showed that wage gains were outstripping the inflation rate, meaning that Americans were finally getting an actual pay increase.
There are still months to go.
And the events that will decide the midterm election likely haven’t even happened yet.
