But Trump admitted that Ukrainian President Volodymyr, egged on by the warmongers in Europe and Washington, keeps thwarting peace deal attempts.
The warmongers’ schemes to derail peace negotiations could come with a great price.
Sergey Karaganov, the head of Russia’s Council for Foreign and Defence Policy, and a top advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin, told Tucker Carlson that this war could spin out of control to the point that Russia launches nuclear weapons at the United Kingdom and Germany.
“What is the defeat of Russia? If Russia were ever close to a defeat, that would mean that Russia now would use nuclear weapons and Europe would be finished physically,” Karaganov warned. “So I mean, it’s simply impossible even to think about it, but they have been talking because they need a war to rationalise their stay in power, to rationalise their existence.”
“Everybody in the world now laughs at Europe, which used to be, by the way, one of the core centres of world power. Now it’s a joke. And of course, I am not speaking of all Europe. We know that there are decent Europeans. There are smart Europeans,” Karaganov added.
Carlson pressed Karaganov on whether European leaders understood that Russia viewed the war in Ukraine as existential.
“When you say everyone knows that the Russian government, if pressed, would use nuclear weapons against Europe, do you mean that, is my question, and do you think that the Europeans understand that?” Carlson asked.
Karaganov told Carlson that Europe’s leaders underestimated the danger of the situation.
“They believe that war will never come to their territory. They forgot about the war and that it’s terrible,” he said. “Now, one of the tasks of Russia, in addition to all others, is to bring them to their senses, hopefully without using nuclear weapons,” Karaganov.
“I am criticising my government for being too prudent and too patient with them,” Karaganov told Carlson, adding, “But sooner or later, if they continue to support this war, sacrificing numerous Ukrainians and others […] We’ll have to punish them severely. Hopefully in a limited sense.”
Trump understands the dangers of escalating the Ukraine war, which is why ending the war was a task he set out to work on even before he took the oath of office.
President Trump wants to be the peace President.
That means resolving the Ukraine war by brokering a settlement.
