New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez looks like one of the 2028 frontrunners for the Democrat Party Presidential nomination.
But will she actually run for President or challenge Chuck Schumer in a primary?
And AOC just made one 2028 confession that scared the hell out of Chuck Schumer.
AOC Ponders Her 2028 Options
In an unusually candid interview with the New York Times, Ocasio-Cortez admitted politicians needed to strike while the iron was hot and not miss their moment to run for President.
“There’s an argument that some make that this is a very unique political window and, oftentimes in politics, you do only get one shot,” Ocasio-Cortez stated. “And you don’t — and just in life in general — life doesn’t wait for you to be ready for things. Sometimes life just makes things ready for you.”
Ocasio-Cortez didn’t deny interest in running for President.
“Every element of this is something that’s within consideration,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
But Ocasio-Cortez appeared to hedge, citing her age, race, and gender as reasons she couldn’t win.
“I think about it personally,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “I am 36, I’m about to turn 37 years old — and what that means for my life.”
AOC Can’t Quit Woke
Ocasio-Cortez then leaned into the lies Democrats tell themselves about Hillary and Kamala’s Presidential losses by claiming she thought it was an uphill battle as a Latina to win a national election.
“Pretty candidly, I think about my identity,” Ocasio-Cortez went on to say. “I’m not naïve to the fact that we are living under a very regressive administration, and I happen to be a woman, and I, you know, happen to be Latina. And I think that there’s a lot of conversation about electability, and I don’t kind of shy away from those realities.”
“If you’re asking me about the things that I weigh, of course, that’s part of what I weigh,” Ocasio-Cortez remarked. “It’s funny because it’s kind of like, everyone else is allowed to talk about it, but I’m not?”
Democrats like to tell themselves President Trump defeated Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris because America is a racist and sexist country.
The left takes those lies as comfort because it means Democrats don’t have to face the fact that voters rejected Kamala and Hillary because they rejected the woke, socialist, pro-open-borders political party the Democrats turned into during the Obama years, an identity the left refuses to shed.
AOC’s Real 2028 Plans
Ocasio-Cortez laying the groundwork of excuses for why she can’t win a Presidential Election because of her race and gender appears to be setting the stage for her actual 2028 plans.
“This country has never elected a female president. Why are we pretending that this is not a factor?” Ocasio-Cortez told the Times. “That doesn’t make it impossible, but to act as though it’s not a factor in anything ever is really a form of, like, denialism.”
And those look like challenging Chuck Schumer in a primary, a move she notably refused to rule out.
“I don’t think that my decisions would come down to deference,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
Woke socialism may not play on the national level.
But it can win big in New York.
