President Trump trusts Vice President JD Vance as one of his top advisors.

That makes Vance a target for the establishment just below Trump.

And Fox News pulled the knives out for JD Vance with this stunning revolt.

President Trump announced a deal to end the war with Iran, reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.

That led to howls emanating from the establishment as Trump, following his America First foreign policy, meant an end to the swamp’s dream of deploying hundreds of thousands of troops to Iran to fight an endless regime change war.

Fox News normally supports President Trump or at least covers him fairly.

But in the case of the Iran deal, Fox attacked the deal as a proxy fight for the 2028 GOP Presidential nomination.

Fox & Friends host Brian Kilmeade slammed the deal as American surrender and blamed Vice President Vance for the outcome.

“The problem is, by the deal that is framed out, it doesn’t look like Iran has been brought to its knees. That’s the problem. Even if we have to go back and finish the job, at this moment, it seems like Iran got a lot out of it that many people weren’t expecting. So that’s going to be the issue, and maybe the president wasn’t even expecting it, because he has got enough plates in the air that he can’t be into every detail,” Kilmeade ranted.

“I just wonder if the vice president, who was against this, by all reports was against the conflict to begin with, maybe he wasn’t the right person to bring this conflict to an end. We’ll find out,” Kilmeade continued.

Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch despises Vance because Vance represents a continuation of Trump’s America First agenda in 2028.

Like Trump. Vance opposes endless war in the Middle East and amnesty for illegal aliens.

Murdoch even begged Trump not to make Vance his running mate in 2024, pleading that he pick anyone but Vance.

“Rupert Murdoch has launched a full-scale lobbying effort to get Donald Trump to pick North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum for vice president, sources told NOTUS. And if Trump won’t pick Burgum, these sources said, Murdoch apparently has one last request: At least don’t pick Sen. J.D. Vance,” NOTUS reported.

Murdoch reportedly made his 2028 preferences clear in a dinner with Trump as New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan recounted how Murdoch told Trump that Vance had “potential,” but that Secretary of State Marco Rubio was “brilliant.”

For his part, Trump rejected all criticism of the deal and the claims that Vance roped him into it, posting on social media that critics of the deal were “fools” and “jealous,” bad,” or “stupid” people.

“These fools, who think I haven’t been tough enough on Iran, when the Stock Market Just Hit A RECORD HIGH, and Oil prices are “tumbling” down, are either jealous, bad people, or stupid,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The highest echelons of Fox News wanted boots on the ground, a regime change war in Iran, and opposed the idea of  JD Vance running for President in 2028.

Attempts to leverage the Iran deal to drive a wedge between Trump and Vance failed.
