Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy joined the stampede of Republicans publicly attacking the Trump administration over ICE operations in Minneapolis.
Gowdy’s broadside against Trump came out of nowhere.
And Trey Gowdy went on Fox News and left viewers stunned with this move against Trump.
A Border Patrol agent shot and killed an armed leftist militant who violently resisted arrest after physically interfering with a law enforcement operation.
In the wake of the event, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem told reporters that the deceased was an armed extremist seeking to kill law enforcement officers.
“The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently. Fearing for his life and for the lives of his fellow officers around him, an agent fired defensive shots,” Noem said at a press conference. “It looks like a situation where an individual arrived at the scene to inflict maximum damage on individuals and kill law enforcement.”
Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller wrote on social media that the deceased was a “would-be-assassin.”
“A would-be assassin tried to murder federal law enforcement, and the official Democrat account sides with the terrorists,” Miller posted on X.
While the physically attached law enforcement was present before the shooting, he never drew his firearm.
David French remains a dishonest idiot.

If you physically attack a police officer while armed with a weapon…
You are both breaking the law and are doing the law enforcement equivalent of running down a freeway at midnight wearing black.

This allowed the media to turn the story from an armed, violent agitator obstructing law enforcement operations to how the Trump administration described them.
Fake news media peppered the administration with attacks, calling Noem and Miller liars who smeared an ICU nurse who just wanted to help people.
This narrative spread so far and wide that even former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy bought into it.
“We certainly should not be labeling him as a domestic terrorist who was going to execute cops. There is no evidence to support that,” Gowdy declared
Fox News is talking about the administration " dropping the ball" on messaging about the killing of Pretti in Minnesota.

The real story is that Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey are inciting leftist foot soldiers to take to the streets and confront ICE in the hopes of creating images of violence and mayhem that will turn Americans against President Trump’s mass deportations.
