The Never Trumpers just showed their true colors.
They’re siding with the swamp machine over the man who kept his promises to the American people.
And the real reason Never Trumpers like Ben Shapiro melted down over Trump is chilling.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Establishment Republicans in elected office and the media flipped on President Trump and began attacking him for agreeing to a deal to end the Iran War.
Senators Chuck Grassley, Roger Wicker, Shelley Moore Capito, and commentators Brit Hume, Mark Levin, and Ben Shapiro were among the chorus of Trump critics melting down over the fact that Trump held firm to his ground on refusing to initiate an endless regime change war in Iran.
At the G-7 Summit in Evian-les-Bains, France, Trump defended his peace deal to reporters.
Trump explained that his only objective for this war was preventing Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, and the deal he signed on to satisfied that objective.
“The one thing that’s happening that’s of note — frankly, the only thing that really matters to me — is that Iran will never have a nuclear weapon. And it says it loud and clear. They’re not gonna develop it; they’re not gonna buy it; they’re not gonna do anything with it. And if they do, they suffer unbelievable consequences,” Trump began.
Trump went on to say that Iran had no choice but to follow the terms of the deal or else it would face “the ultimate consequences.”
“Not just a little bit, like, I won’t even tell you the consequences, but the consequences are the ultimate consequences. That being said, I hope we have a very good relationship, but the biggest thing is that they will not have a nuclear weapon,” Trump added.
Trump promised “all hell will rain down” on Iran if it violates the agreement and seeks to obtain a nuclear weapon.
“That is the reason I got in, and that’s the reason I agreed to sign, and we originally had — Marco was with me — and they originally wrote they would not develop a nuclear weapon. And I said, ‘No, no. You’re not gonna develop, but you’re not gonna buy either.’ That took another couple of days. Everything takes — it’s ridiculous. They will not develop, purchase, buy, or do anything else. They’re not going to acquire a nuclear weapon. If they do, all hell will rain down on them,” Trump concluded.
Trump proved with the strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities and the subsequent war that he’s not afraid to take military action against Iran.
But what Trump rejects are forever wars where a President deploys the military without a clearly defined objective and timetable to see victory through.
Critics of the Iran deal were the loudest supporters of the war, and many were original Never Trumpers, and they thought that because Trump agreed Iran should never have a nuclear weapon, Trump was signing on to the neoconservative project of regime change in Iran.
Trump was never going to agree to that.
