An enemy just blinked.

It came after Trump issued a threat no other president would have dared to make.

And what it means for November is bigger than anyone is saying.

As West Wing Daily reports:

The war with Iran lasted 15 weeks.

Finally, there was a breakthrough in negotiations.

Trump announced that Iran agreed to his number one objective, which was committing to never pursuing a nuclear weapon.

“They will not have a nuclear weapon. They’ve agreed to that,” Trump told reporters. “There will be no nuclear weapon, which is a big part of the reason.”

“They will not purchase, develop, or acquire in any way, shape, or form a nuclear weapon. They will not have a nuclear weapon,” Trump continued.

Earlier in the day, Trump announced he was calling off planned strikes after Iran agreed to high-level negotiations to end their nuclear program and bring the war to a close.

“Based on the fact that discussions with the Islamic Republic of Iran have been brought to the highest level of Iranian leadership and approved, I have, as President of the United States of America, cancelled the scheduled strikes and bombings against Iran this evening. Discussions and final points have been approved in both concept and in great detail by all parties involved, including the United States, Israel, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Turkey, Pakistan, Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt, and others. The Naval Blockade will remain in full force and effect until this Transaction is finalized — Time and place of the signing to be announced shortly,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Iran realized Trump wasn’t fooling around when he posted that America would launch military operations to seize Kharg Island and take control of Iran’s oil industry, similar to the successful mission in Venezuela.

“The United States will be hitting Iran (whose Navy, Air Force, Radar, Anti-Aircraft, and all other forms of Defense, together with most of its offensive capability, are GONE!), VERY HARD TONIGHT. At some point in the not-too-distant future, we will be taking Kharg Island, and other oil infrastructure points, and assume total control of their Oil and Gas Markets, much like we have with Venezuela, which is working out brilliantly for both Venezuela and the United States of America,” Trump posted.

The end of the war can’t come soon enough for many Americans.

Inflation surged to over 4 percent, caused by rising gas prices following Iran’s closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump’s approval ratings sagged, and Republicans feared Democrats were on track to win the House and the Senate in November.

Iran agreeing to Trump’s terms to end the war should mean gas prices come down, which Republicans hope will allow them to shift the narrative of the election to be about the radicalism of the Democratic Party.
