But Patel thought he knew who they were,
And Kash Patel just got called out by the last person he ever expected.

Journalist Nick Shirley created public outrage by posting a video to YouTube where he exposed $110,000,000 in fraud regarding Somali-run childcare centers in 24 hours.

Somalis bilked taxpayers by setting up childcare centers that never cared for any children.
Americans demanded arrests.
FBI Director Kash Patel responded by posting on social media about the FBI’s work in the investigations that led to 78 arrests and 57 convictions in a Somali fraud ring scamming a government meals program.
“To date, the FBI dismantled a $250 million fraud scheme that stole federal food aid meant for vulnerable children during COVID. The investigation exposed sham vendors, shell companies, and large-scale money laundering tied to the Feeding Our Future network,” Patel wrote.
“The case led to 78 indictments and 57 convictions. Defendants included Abdiwahab Ahmed Mohamud, Ahmed Ali, Hussein Farah, Abdullahe Nur Jesow, Asha Farhan Hassan, Ousman Camara, and Abdirashid Bixi Dool, each charged for roles ranging from wire fraud to money laundering and conspiracy,” Patel added.
But this wasn’t all it was cracked up to be.
Conservative activist Chris Rufo called out Patel by noting that all the arrests and convictions Patel listed were from the Biden administration.
Rufo wanted to know when Americans can expect to see arrests and mugshots from the fraud that Shirley uncovered.
“This is misleading,” Rufo wrote. “Kash is trying to take credit for investigations and convictions that occurred under the Biden Administration. But the question is about the fraud that remains unpunished. When do we see arrests, mugshots, and new prosecutions?”
“We opened the discourse with the Somali fraud story. Now it’s built into a massive social reaction. But the question is whether the Trump Administration will deliver results: investigations, arrests, mugshots, prosecutions. Ultimately, only action matters,” Rufo added.
Conservatives remain skeptical of the FBI and Department of Justice delivering results.
Even though Patel and Pam Bondi run the federal law enforcement apparatus, the FBI and Department of Justice have yet to deliver indictments against the Deep State conspirators who organized the Russia collusion hoax and the lawfare against President Trump.
Rufo is speaking for many conservatives who worry that the FBI and the Department of Justice will deliver a whole lot of nothing about the Somali fraud.
