The debate didn’t give Kamala Harris the boost she wanted.
That puts the Democrat Party in a tough spot.
And now Kamala Harris slammed the panic button after this awful poll result.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Michigan is a state that the Democrats simply cannot afford to lose in the 2024 presidential election if they want to have any chance of keeping the White House.
It is a state that has historically gone Democrat nearly every year, and it is a percentage point or two to the left of Pennsylvania and very demographically similar – meaning if Michigan goes red, Pennsylvania probably does too.
Michigan has 15 electoral votes and Pennsylvania has 19 – so that would put 34 key electoral votes into Trump’s column, something Kamala Harris would not be able to come back from.
That’s why she should be so worried about the fact that a new independent poll showed her losing in Michigan after her debate with Trump.
If this holds up, she is almost certainly going to be packing her bags and leaving the White House in January, as there is little chance she’s winning the presidency without winning Michigan.
According to Breitbart, “Former President Donald Trump has the edge over Vice President Kamala Harris in Michigan after their debate on Tuesday, according to an Insider Advantage poll.”
“The poll, conducted on Wednesday and part of Thursday, finds that 49 percent of the 800 likely voter respondents back Trump, while 48 percent back Harris. Another one percent will vote for someone else, and two percent are undecided.”
This is nothing short of a disaster for the Harris campaign, and they are going to have to react quickly to put out this fire.
Clearly the media hype around her has not persuaded working-class voters in Michigan to give her their support.
The article continues, “This marks a net-three point swing away from Harris and toward Trump since an August Insider Advantage/Trafalgar Group poll. That survey of 800 likely Michigan voters from August 6-8, 2024, found Harris leading 49 percent to 47 percent.
“Independents prefer Trump over Harris by five points, noted Insider Advantage pollster Matt Towery in a release.”
“Furthermore, 20 percent of black voters sampled in the poll back Trump, which Towery contends ‘may be an aberration, or a reflection of higher African-American numbers seen in recent national surveys such as The New York Times survey.’”
The fact that there has been movement towards Trump within the same poll should be extra concerning for the Harris campaign.
Polls can be wrong, but trendlines within the same poll are rarely wrong. That’s because polls generally use the same methodology over and over again.
So even if this poll is skewed towards Trump, which is unlikely, it is virtually indisputable from these results that the trendlines in Michigan are moving in his direction.
It’s clear that Kamala Harris has a major problem on her hands, one that is threatening to sink her campaign, and if she doesn’t fix her problem in Michigan fast it could spell doom.
