Liberal comedian Bill Maher is no fan of President Trump.
But Maher’s attacks on Trump crumbled.
That’s because John Kennedy silenced Bill Maher by dropping this brutal truth.
Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) appeared on Bill Maher’s Real Time show and pushed the liberal audience to cheer his arguments about Joe Biden weaponizing the government against Donald Trump to try to rig the 2024 election.
“President Biden, for the first time in this country’s history, prosecuted a former president, a former opponent, who was his current opponent,” Kennedy began.
“I understand it—” Maher began to respond before Kennedy cut him off.
“He unleashed spirits he could not control, Kennedy retorted.
At that point, the normally leftist audience erupted in applause.
Maher tried to claim that the January 6 and classified documents hoaxes were grounds for Biden to try to jail Trump.
“Again, it was the first time we did that, it was also the first time that something PROMPTED us to do that!” Maher stated.
Kennedy argued that Maher was missing the point because the decision to persecute Trump was politically motivated.
“No! Wait a minute. No, wait a minute,” Kennedy started before adding, “They allege…I’m not defending the president or his conduct; you can make your own judgment.”
“Well…” Maher stammered before Kennedy plowed right ahead.
Kennedy told Maher that Biden prosecutor Jack Smith charged Trump with “defrauding the American people” because he said he won the 2020 election.
“But you can be worried about the president and not defend the conduct. They allege that President Trump defrauded the American people. Okay?” Kennedy explained.
Taking that at face value, Kennedy asked why Barack Obama wasn’t arrested for lying to the American people that they could keep their doctor if Democrats rammed Obamacare into law.
“Well, what does that mean? How about when President Obama said if you like your insurance, you can keep your insurance? Is that fraud?” Kennedy wondered.
Maher contended that while Obama lied, it was within the bounds of acceptable political lying.
“No, come on…it wasn’t the best thing he ever said, and it turned out not be completely true. It’s well within the realm of political—” Maher tried to say before Kennedy cut him off again.
Kennedy then wondered why Joe Biden’s handlers, who conspired to hide Joe Biden’s senility from the American people – leaving it an open question as to who was actually running the government – shouldn’t face criminal charges for defrauding the public.
“How about the people around President Biden who hid, studiously and successfully, the fact that he had a neurodegenerative disease? Should they be prosecuted?” Kennedy asked.

Conservatives contend that the Biden administration weaponized the government to arrest Donald Trump since they knew Biden couldn’t defeat Donald Trump in a fair election.
