President Trump never shies away from answering questions from the press.
Once again, Trump had something major to say.
And Fox News asked if Trump would unleash hell. Trump’s response was 4 shocking words.
The war with Iran’s been on a ceasefire since April 7.
But Trump hasn’t given Iran unlimited time to agree to a deal to end its nuclear program.
And it looks like the clock is about to strike zero.
Axios reported that CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper briefed President Trump on a new range of military options to deliver a decisive blow to Iran that would force it to the negotiating table.
Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy asked Trump if this was true.
“You had the CENTCOM commander come in here yesterday. Was he briefing you on a different approach? Options. What kind of options? How would it look different?” Doocy wondered.
Trump replied that one of the options would be to “blast the hell” out of Iran and carry out Trump’s previous promise to bomb them back to the Stone Age.
“Well, there are options. Do we want to go and just blast the hell out of ’em and finish them forever, or do we want to try and make a deal? I mean, those are the options,” Trump answered.
Doocy replied if that meant Trump really wanted to restart the war.
“Do you want to go blast the hell out of ’em?” Doocy asked.
Trump said diplomacy was his first choice, that he didn’t want to see bloodshed anymore, but that he was prepared to order more military strikes.
“I would prefer not,” Trump began. “On a human basis, I’d prefer not, but that’s the option. Do we want to go in heavy and push them, or do we want to do something else? They’re a very disjointed leadership, as you can understand, Peter, very disjointed.”
Doocy followed up by inquiring if Trump’s preference for diplomacy was due to concerns about the six weeks of war with Iran depleting America’s munitions stockpiles.
“Because of all the firepower required for Epic Fury, there are people in the White House who are starting to worry about our inventory of bombs and missiles. Are you worried?” Doocy pressed Trump.
Trump denied that it was the case.
“No, no. We have more than we’ve ever had, actually. All over the world, we have inventory, and we can take that if we need it. But all over the world, we have tremendous amounts of inventory, the best. For instance, we’re stocked and locked and loaded right now. We have more than double what we had when this started. But we’re all over the world, many, many different countries, many different places, all packed up. Now, what happened is Biden came in, like a stupid fool, and he gave a lot of what we had to Ukraine,” Trump stated.
