Donald Trump started the general election coming out swinging.

Democrats dreaded this moment.

And Donald Trump challenged Joe Biden to do one thing that Democrats know is a trap.

As Swamp Digest reports:

Donald Trump won 74 percent of the vote across 15 Super Tuesday primaries and caucuses, thus ending the GOP nomination.

RINO and former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley finally accepted reality and suspended her campaign in the face of Donald Trump’s overwhelming lead in the delegate count and over the fact that Trump was likely to hit the magic number of pledged delegates in the March 12 round of contests.

Trump made the general election official by posting on Truth Social that it would be in the best interest of the country for he and Joe Biden to debate as soon as possible.

And just to make it fair, Trump even said the Democratic National Committee could host the debate.

“It is important, for the Good of our Country, that Joe Biden and I Debate Issues that are so vital to America, and the American People. Therefore, I am calling for Debates, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANYPLACE! The Debates can be run by the Corrupt DNC, or their Subsidiary, the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). I look forward to receiving a response. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump wrote.

But Joe Biden’s handlers want no part of a debate.

“Talk to the campaign,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said in response to a question about whether Biden would accept Trump’s offer.

The Biden campaign remained similarly noncommittal.

“I know Donald Trump’s thirsty for attention and struggling to expand his appeal beyond the MAGA base — and that’s a conversation we’ll have at the appropriate time in this cycle,” Biden campaign spokesperson Michael Tyler told NBC News.

“But if he’s so desperate to see President Biden in prime time, he doesn’t have to wait! He can join the tens of millions of Americans who will tune in to watch the State of the Union tomorrow night. He might even learn a thing or two about bringing people together and actually delivering for the American people.”

Trump set a trap for Joe Biden.

Biden is the presidential candidate who’s down in the polls – not Donald Trump – so he needs these debates to show the American public that he’s got the virility and acuity to last another four years.

But Biden’s handlers are terrified to put Biden in a 90-minute setting where he won’t be allowed to read off notecards or answer pre-scripted questions.

The mainstream media began to cover Joe Biden’s cognitive decline when his staff refused to allow him to do the Super Bowl pregame interview.

And the longer Biden goes without committing to the debates, the more Americans will be forced to grapple with the fact that Biden’s handlers don’t want him onstage because of the deep and justified fear that Biden will have a cognitive episode and forget what year it is or what office he’s running for or what country he’s in.
