Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez picked a new fight in Congress.

She wasn’t expecting this blowback.

AOC made a resignation ultimatum. The combat veteran told her exactly where to go.

As Swamp Digest reports:

Congressman Tony Gonzales and Eric Swalwell resigned from the House after sexual misconduct allegations against the two reached critical mass.

Ocasio-Cortez applauded Swalwell and Gonzales vacating their seats.

“You know, I think it’s the right thing to do. This Washington should be a place where we are elevating and acting with integrity, and I think it’s what the American people expect. These are positions of profound privilege and profound responsibility, and I think the most important thing right now is to center these women and their bravery in coming forward,” Ocasio-Cortez stated. “There is such a punitive culture here in Washington that silences people who have been victims of abuse, and for them to do what they did takes a tremendous amount of bravery.”

But Ocasio-Cortez wernt further and demanded Florida Republican Congressman and decorated combat veteran Cory Mills should resign as well.

“I’m glad that Eric Swalwell is leaving. I’m glad that Tony Gonzales is leaving,” Ocasio-Cortez added. “Frankly, I think Cory Mills should probably be on that list as well.”

Controversy surrounded Mills due to his landlord evicting him for unpaid rent and accusations that he got caught with sex workers.

Mills is facing allegations of assault from Lindsey Langston, the current reigning Miss United States, who obtained a restraining order against Mills.

A court filing alleged that “the threats from Cory intensified over time,” and that Mills engaged in “emotional manipulation,” “physical violence against whoever I date in the future,” and threatened to release nude images of Langton that could force her to vacate the Miss United States crown.

But it was noticeable that Ocasio-Cortez didn’t call for Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick of Florida to step down.

Prosecutors indicted Cherfilus-McCormick on charges of stealing pandemic funds and using them for her political campaigns.

“The Justice Department alleges that in 2021, a year before Cherfilus-McCormick was elected to Congress, a company that she ran called Trinity Healthcare Services was overpaid $5 million on a Federal Emergency Management Agency-funded contract to assist with Florida’s coronavirus vaccination campaign,” CBS reported.

The House Ethics subcommittee then found Cherfilus-McCormick guilty of 25 of the 27 ethics charges she faced.

Mills’ resignation could cripple the House GOP majority due to narrow margins.

Cherfilus-McCormick’s resignation would negate that advantage, which is why Mills and other Republicans are ignoring Ocasio-Cortez’s demand that Mills resign from Congress.
