Tyler Robinson, the pro-transgender leftist standing trial for killing Charlie Kirk, caught a break.

No one could believe it.

And all hell broke loose in the Charlie Kirk murder trial after one insane ruling.

Trial Date Set in Kirk Murder Case

Prosecutors charged Robinson with killing Kirk on September 10, 2025, during an event at Utah Valley University because Robinson believed Kirk was filled with “hate” for transgenders because Kirk opposed the gender identity insanity agenda.

Utah Judge Tony Graf ruled the state presented enough evidence to go to trial on all seven charges, including First Degree Murder, which makes Robinson eligible for the death penalty.

But Graf ruled that the next hearing wouldn’t take place until the week before Halloween, a fact that infuriated Turning Point USA Spokesman Andrew Kolvet, who ripped Graf for delaying justice for Charlie.

“State: Let’s pick a trial date in 2 weeks. Defense: We’re going to need 4. Judge: How about 7? See you Oct 23! Unreal,” Kolvet wrote on X.

Kolvet and other Turning Point USA supporters and employees are eager to see this trial wrapped up for two reasons.

First and foremost, they want to see the man they believed to be Charlie’s killer convicted and punished to the maximum extent.

Second, they want the evidence on the record and in front of the public to put to bed the conspiracy theories about Charlie’s assassination.

How This All Went Down

In the hearing, Judge Grad put it to the defense and the prosecution about the timetable  they wanted to see for trial.

“I know you both are very busy, and you have a lot going on, but the constitutional rights of Mr. Robinson are important, as are the constitutional rights afforded to Miss Erika Kirk,” Graf stated.

The prosecution wanted to move as quickly as possible.

“We would like to come back as soon as possible for the next setting, as soon as two weeks,” a prosecutor replied.

Defense counsel Kathryn Nester pleaded for a month.

“This is obviously a complex case that is going to involve some lengthy discussions with the state that involve pre-trial motion litigation, that involve expert litigation, that involve discovery litigation, that involve many, many phases of trial before we even get to the trial, so I’m just not sure two weeks is enough to allow us to that level of conversation with the state.,” Nester declared.

“So I would recommend maybe 30 days, and that will give us time to communicate, check our schedules,” Nester begged.

Kirk family attorney Jeffrey Neiman asked for the trial to commence as quickly as possible, as it would help bring closure to Erika Kirk and the family.

“The United States Constitution guarantees criminal defendants many rights. The right to delay is not among them,” Neiman told the judge. “The defendant is entitled to a fair trial, and he must be given one, and nothing more is owed.”

“Every step in this process carries the weight of all that Charlie’s murder has taken from his family, especially his children who will grow up without their father,” Neiman added. “We are grateful to all who have continued to pray for us, support us, and stand with us through a year of unimaginable grief.”

“As the next phase of the judicial process begins, our family remains united in our love for Charlie, our commitment to the pursuit of justice, and our prayer for a transparent and timely process,” Niemen concluded.

Judge Graf then gave the defense even more time than it had asked for, delaying justice for Charlie.
