Ilhan Omar’s been walking on eggshells over accusations that have dogged her for years.
The case may finally be nearing a resolution.
And Tom Homan dropped one hint that Ilhan Omar is in for the worst news of her life.
Tom Homan Confirms Ilhan Omar is Under Investigation
Ever since Ilhan Omar first ran for Congress in 2018, she faced allegations of committing immigration fraud by entering into a sham marriage with her brother to get him into America.
If Omar committed fraud, the government could strip her of her citizenship and deport her.
The Biden administration was obviously never going to investigate Omar.
But many Americans had hope that President Trump’s crackdown on immigration fraud would lead to a real probe of the accusations against Omar.
That appears to be the case.
Speaking to Fox News Channel’s Jacqui Heinrich, Border Czar Tom Homan seemed to confirm there was an active investigation into if the government could strip Omar of her citizenship and deport her.
“I know things are going on, but I can’t give specifics of what’s happening,” Homan stated.
Homan added that the administration wouldn’t tolerate immigration fraud and would pursue any accusation.
“If someone committed an immigration violation, if someone committed marriage fraud or anything like that, regardless if they’re a congressman or not, no one’s above the law. So, I’ll leave it at that. We’ll let HSI, Homeland Security Investigations, continue the investigation,” Homan added.
Homan’s comments came on the heels of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who is under fire for comments in support of amnesty and allowing illegal aliens whose Temporary Protected Status expired to apply to remain in America, telling podcaster Benny Johnson that the administration was closing in on proving Omar committed fraud.
“There may be more to this, the whole family migration and possibly some illegal activity for them to come to the United States to begin with. … If we can prove it, that you shouldn’t have been here in the first place, we will deport you,” Mullin stated.
Trump Supporters Want Action
Fox News Channel’s Tomi Lahren argued the discourse around Omar was a distraction from the real mission of deporting the 10 million illegal aliens Joe Biden imported into America.
“Nothing would make me happier than seeing Ilhan Omar deported for immigration fraud,” Lahren added. “However, what I would have much rather heard from our DHS Secretary is how he’s going to arrest and deport 10 million illegal aliens let in under the Biden Administration. That’s what I want to hear from our DHS secretary.”
Lahren expressed frustration that administration officials spent two years hinting that Omar was under investigation, but what really mattered to turning out voters to support Republicans in the midterms was following through on Trump’s pledge for mass deportations.
“I don’t want to hear him answering questions from influencers to own the libs. Owning the libs is so fun, I enjoy it too. What I enjoy more is 10 million illegal aliens being deported, because that was the promise of mass deportations. If they want to do an investigation, do an investigation. But at the end of the day, that’s not what’s going to get people out to vote, is if Ilhan Omar married her brother,” Lahren added.
“What’s going to get people out to vote for Republicans is “Promises made, promises kept.” Mass deportations. If Ilhan and 10 million others go, okay. But if it’s just Ilhan because you want to make a point to own the libs on X, I’m sorry, that’s not enough for me,” Lahren concluded.
This is where Trump supporters are growing angry with Mullin.
Homeland Security won’t release deportation totals, and many Trump supporters suspect Mullin is secretly sabotaging the mass deportation effort because of his support for amnesty.
