FBI Director Kash Patel warned the fake news media that it was playing with fire.

But no one listened.

And now Kash Patel filed a $25 million lawsuit that hit the fake news media like a freight train.

Kash Patel’s lawyers filed a $250 million lawsuit against the leftist media outlet The Atlantic after it published a hit piece on Patel entitled “The FBI Director Is MIA: Kash Patel has alarmed colleagues with episodes of excessive drinking and unexplained absences.”

In the lawsuit, Patel’s lawyers accused the Atlantic of publishing “a sweeping, malicious, and defamatory hit piece” containing allegations that were “false,” “obviously fabricated,” and “designed to destroy Director Patel’s reputation and drive him from office.”

The thrust of the article was that Patel’s alcoholism rendered him unfit to carry out his duties and that Patel’s schedule was constantly getting changed to accommodate his drunkenness.

“Several officials told me that Patel’s drinking has been a recurring source of concern across the government. They said that he is known to drink to the point of obvious intoxication,” the report read. “Early in his tenure, meetings and briefings had to be rescheduled for later in the day as a result of his alcohol-fueled nights, six current and former officials and others familiar with Patel’s schedule told me.”

The Atlantic also claimed Patel’s security detail deployed equipment that SWAT teams used to penetrate buildings where criminals had holed up to retrieve Patel after drinking binges left him unresponsive.

“A request for ‘breaching equipment’—normally used by SWAT and hostage-rescue teams to quickly gain entry into buildings—was made last year because Patel had been unreachable behind locked doors, according to multiple people familiar with the request,” the report added going on to say that “some of Patel’s colleagues at the FBI worry that his personal behavior has become a threat to public safety.”

Patel warned the FBI that this lawsuit was coming if this story ran.

“Print it, all false, I’ll see you in court—bring your checkbook,” Patel’s said to The Atlantic when asked for comment.

The Atlantic defended the story.

“We stand by our reporting on Kash Patel, and we will vigorously defend The Atlantic and our journalists against this meritless lawsuit,” the magazine’s statement in response to the lawsuit read.

The media has been out to get Patel from day one because he promised to drain the swamp and take on the deep state.

But what especially enraged the press was the fact that Patel celebrated with the U.S. Men’s Olympic Hockey Team after their dramatic Gold Medal win over Canada in this year’s Winter Olympics.

Patel was seen in the locker room drinking a beer with the players as they celebrated to Toby Keith.

It’s no surprise this story in The Atlantic soon followed.
