Megyn Kelly doesn’t hold back in interviews.
Kelly made no exceptions this time.
And Megyn Kelly asked a Gold Star widower the hardest question ever. His answer is gutting.
As American Media Watch Dog reports:
National Counterterrorism Director Joe Kent resigned from the Trump administration over his opposition to the war in Iran
Kent deployed 11 times to Iraq and Afghanistan and earned six Bronze Stars for his heroic service.
Kent is also a Gold Star widower whose first wife served in the Navy and was killed by ISIS in a bombing in Syria in 2019.
Kent was one of the independent voters drawn to Donald Trump in 2016 over Trump’s opposition to the War in Iran.
Americans opposed to endless military interventions formed a critical portion of the Trump coalition.
Trump described Kemp as a “good” man, but said it was “good” that he resigned.
Megyn Kelly interviewed Kent on her podcast following his resignation.
Kelly asked Kent about the predictable swamp smears, such as RINO Senator Mitch McConnell sliming him as an anti-semite of the Deep State investigating Kemp for leaking classified information.
“It’s been a few days now since you issued that resignation,” Kelly stated. “You’ve been called ‘weak’ by the president of the United States, you’ve been basically called a traitor by Lindsey Graham, you’ve been called an antisemite by Mitch McConnell, among others.”
“And now there are reports that you’re under a leak investigation, potentially accusing you of a felony that could put you in jail, even though you now are raising your two boys…you’re their sole biological parent still here,” Kelly added. “And I ask you now whether this was worth it.”
Kent said he expected these falsehoods because the Deep State only knew one playbook and would run it against anyone.
“I think it most certainly was,” Kent replied. “I mean, the attacks against me are to be expected. The ad hominems from people like Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham, at this point, are fairly laughable.”
Kent categorically denied leaking any classified information and said this investigation didn’t bother him because it was just another witch hunt.
“As for the leak allegations, I’m not concerned because I know I did nothing wrong. Of course, I am concerned because we’ve all seen the full weight of the FBI and the government come down on individuals who speak out. So, that has me a little bit concerned, but I know that the truth and the facts are on my side. So, I think that the important issues to address are what’s at hand: why we’re at war and how we get out of the state that we’re in right now,” Kent said.
That investigation offended Kelly and other conservatives because the Department of Justice won’t prosecute any of the Russiagate conspirators or anyone who rigged the 2020 election, but now the FBI is coming after Kent, a three-time Trump voter, solely because he opposed the war in Iran.
