Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez entered Congress determined to end President Trump’s political career.
But all of Ocasio-Cortez’s scheming ended up being for naught.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s nefarious plot against Trump just backfired in the most explosive way possible.
President Trump has repeatedly mused about serving a third term in office, although he’s dismissed the possibility.
Famed Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz argued this is no laughing matter and a possibility Americans should take seriously.
The 22nd Amendment limits a President to two terms in office.
But Dershowitz argued that the amendment only limits the President to getting elected twice, which creates a loophole for a third Trump term.
‘The only proof of what the framers intended is what they produced,’ Dershowitz said in an interview with the Daily Mail.
‘And they produced an amendment with a hole bigger than the new wing of the White House that can be used to allow a president to serve a third term,’ Dershowitz added.
In his book, ‘Could Trump Constitutionally Serve A Third Term?’ Dershowitz outlines three paths for Trump to run again in 2028/
The first, Deerhotiz argued, would be Democrats nominating a socialist radical like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
‘The scenario that would be the most likely is if the (Iran) war were to continue and really become a major factor in American foreign policy and domestic policy,’ Dershowitz explained.
Dershowitz claimed this would create a groundswell inside the Republican Party to nominate a proven winner like Trump to keep Ocasio-Cortez from turning America into a socialist nation.
‘That, and the Democrats nominating a radical leftist who would want to end the war on terms unfavorable to the country, and there was a movement within the Republican Party to allow President Trump to serve a third term,’ Dershowitz added.
‘AOC, Elizabeth Warren, Chris Murphy from Connecticut – these are all extreme radicals that the Republicans would do anything to see defeated,’ Dershowitz continued.
‘If any of them got nominated, or if even (Illinois Governor) JB Pritzker got nominated, I think there would be a tremendous movement within the Republican Party to say, let’s do anything we can to stop them,’ Dershowitz went on to say.
The second path would be J.D. Vance naming Trump as his running mate and then resigning upon winning the election.
Dershowitz wrote Democrats had nothing to complain about under this scenario since it was their idea to try to win Bill Clinton a third term in 2000.
‘They were all in favor of Clinton doing it,’ Dershowitz stated. ‘This is not a new idea, this is an idea the Democrats came up with in 2000.”
The third path, Dershowitz outlined, was Trump becoming Vice President via the 25th Amendment and then ascending to the Presidency under the same amendment.
