President Trump said the war with Iran was 47 years in the making.
Trump admitted to choosing a course of action that no other President before him would have.
And Donald Trump revealed the war with Iran is about to reach this unthinkable outcome.
President Trump promised a limited war with Iran that didn’t drag on into a quagmire like Iraq and Afghanistan.
Vice President J.D. Vance made that same promise during an appearance on Jesse Watters’ Fox News show.
“What’s so different about this Jesse is that the President has clearly defined what he wants to accomplish, and there’s just no way,” Vance stated. “I said this before the conflict started. I’ll repeat it. There’s just no way that Donald Trump is going to allow this country to get into a multi-year conflict with no clear end in sight and no clear objective.”
The U.S. military crushed Iran in a conventional battle, destroying over 80 percent of its missile launchers, sinking over 40 naval vessels, and degrading its drone fleet.
Iran fought back asymmetrically, targeting regional oil facilities and closing the Strait of Hormuz to oil tanker traffic.
Oil shot up to $120 a barrel and threatened to spike to over $150 a barrel, a level that would cause a global recession.
But oil prices immediately plummeted to around $85 a barrel after President Trump told CBS’s Weijia Jiang that thanks to the success of the military operation, the U.S. could wind down the war quicker than the initial 4-5 week timeline that he first laid out.
“In a phone interview, President Trump told me the war could be over soon: “I think the war is very complete, pretty much. They have no navy, no communications, they’ve got no Air Force.” He added that the U.S. is “very far” ahead of his initial 4-5 week estimated time frame,” Jiang reported of her conversation with Trump.
Trump later spoke to House Republicans and also promised Iran would be a “short excursion.”
“We took a little excursion because we felt we had to do that to get rid of some evil,” Trump declared.
“I think you’ll see it is going to be a short-term excursion,” Trump emphasized.
Polls show that the longer the war goes on, the more unpopular it becomes.
Some Republicans are nervous that if it drags on for weeks or months, it will cost them their majorities in the House and Senate.
President Trump is promising a decisive victory and revealed that the military’s performance is above and beyond the normal levels of excellence that it usually displays on the battlefield.
And this will allow him to wrap the war up quicker than anyone could have imagined.
