Chuck Schumer picked his line of attack.

But Schumer forgot one thing.

And Chuck Schumer got smacked with an ultimatum that forced this unthinkable choice.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and the Democrats think they can ride fake news media outrage following a border patrol agent shooting an armed leftist agitator as he violently resisted arrest to end President Trump’s mass deportations.

Schumer and Senate RINOs cut a deal to fund the Department of Homeland Security for 2 more weeks.

Democrats think Republicans’ fear of a government shutdown will force President Trump to accept requiring judicial warrants for ICE agents to enter a home and arrest illegal aliens.

Requiring a judicial warrant would end immigration arrests and grant amnesty to tens of millions of illegal aliens.

That’s because ICE agents would no longer be able to arrest illegal aliens until they commit a federal crime and a federal judge signs off.

ICE wouldn’t be able to touch Illegal aliens who commit state crimes, such as drunk dirving and they wouldn’t be able to arrest illegal aliens they encounter on raids to arrest the criminal illegal aliens. Judges signed off on warrants.

But conservatives came back with a counteroffer that could spell game over for Schumer’s shutdown strategy.

Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna told Fox News Digital that Republicans would demand attaching the SAVE Act to any must-pass funding bill.

“I know for a fact that if the SAVE Act is a standalone vote in the Senate, just like every other good piece of legislation, it’s going to die,” Luna stated.

House Speaker Mike Johnson only holds a one-vote majority.

Luna knows conservatives rejecting any spending bill – knowing Democrats will vote en masse against anything that funds Homeland Security – is the pressure point to squeeze.

“There are some Republicans that are just straight-up coming out saying, ‘We’re going to basically be with Luna, and we will not be voting for any piece of legislation, specifically on these appropriations, that does not include the SAVE Act because we know it’s not going to survive in the Senate,'” Luna added.

The SAVE Act would require voter ID, purge illegal aliens from the rolls, and eliminate endless mail-in-voting that stretches for weeks.

South Carolina Republican Congressman Wayne Timmons told Fox News that two could play at the shutdown game.

“If the Democrats can play this game and shut the government down yet again, I think that we need to hold their feet to the fire,” Timmons declared.

“The American people want us to do our job. Government shutdowns are terrible, and so if Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is going to shut the government down, I think it’s appropriate to…say this is your shutdown, and here’s the way to reopen,” Timmons continued.

If Democrats push a shutdown to defund President Trump’s mass deportations, then Republicans will put legislation on the table to end election fraud.
